
From March 24-26, the Peru Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) and U.S. Department of State hosted the Spring 2026 biannual Global CBPR Forum workshop. The multistakeholder workshop welcomed representatives from companies, academia, and other privacy experts as well as government representatives from eighteen jurisdictions from across Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Across a range of panels and presentations, participants discussed topics including the expansion and promotion of the Global CBPR Forum, AI, Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) and regulatory capacity building. At the workshop, the Forum Chair announced the release of the updated Global CBPR System Program Requirements [Link to the new program requirements].
The Global CBPR Forum remains committed to global cooperation to build trust in cross-border data flows while promoting high standards of data protection and privacy.
